Český Krumlov & South Bohemia Photo Tour Itinerary
Leave everything to us and focus entirely on creativity!
Český Krumlov
It’s no wonder that Český Krumlov, in Bohemia’s deep south, is considered to be one of the most picturesque towns in Europe. Your private tour starts in Prague where we will pick you up and drive to the hotel in the center of this charming town. The late afternoon, once all the tourist hustle and bustle has calmed down, is the right time for us to dive into photography. We will guide you through the labyrinth of cobbled narrow lanes, over old bridges, and past the castle above the Vltava river which dominates the town panorama.
The streets look even more charming in the glow of dim street lights, and we will definitely photograph the sun setting over the old town.

The next morning, we will wake up early so we can be in the right place at the right time to capture the sun’s first rays touching the roofs.
The town is surrounded by meanders of the Vltava River, which presents great opportunities for long exposures and for capturing reflections of the houses on the water’s surface.
We will also be sure to visit hidden locations and use the best morning light conditions in the streets until all the tourists arrive.
Holašovice
After breakfast and the sunrise shooting in Český Krumlov, we hit the road again and explore another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Holašovice, situated amid the harmonious South Bohemian landscape, is surely the most charming village in the whole Czech Republic. The history of this authentic Bohemian village dates back to the 13th century. The houses, as you see them now, are basically the same as they were in the 16th century.
Here, we will have fun with creative composition and shapes as well as with architectural details.

Chateau Hluboká
Our second stop will be the fairytale Hluboká Chateau, which is considered to be one of the most significant Romantic chateaus in central Europe. During its history, which dates back to the 13th century, the castle was reconstructed several times from Gothic then Renaissance and Baroque to its current Romantic style of England’s Windsor Castle.
The castle itself is very photogenic, its rectangular-shaped courtyard is perfect for architecture/abstract photography, whereas the lines and shapes in the gardens will challenge our composition skills.
Vltava River Meander
Finally, in the evening we will go to our sunset location, which is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. After a short ascent, we will be rewarded with an elevated view of the spectacular Vltava river meander.
This part includes a short but steep hike and is optional. The Vltava River is the longest river located within the Czech Republic, and it runs through Český Krumlov and Prague. After this last photography session, we will drive back to Prague and drop you off at your hotel.
