General
Our photo tours are intentionally kept small, usually with around 5 to 10 participants. This way, everyone gets plenty of personal attention and lots of opportunities to learn and improve. Smaller groups also make everything run more smoothly and help create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere among participants.
No prior experience is needed. We welcome everyone, from complete beginners to experienced professionals. Our guides tailor their instruction to each participant’s level, so whether you’re just getting familiar with your camera or working on advanced techniques, you’ll get the most out of the experience.

The average age of our guests is between 40 and 70, although we do occasionally welcome both younger and older participants. Most of our clients come from the USA, but we regularly host guests from Canada, Australia, Singapore, and across Europe as well. Our groups are often a great mix of like-minded couples and solo travelers. Many of our guests return to travel with us again, and first-time participants tend to quickly fall in love with our style of travel.
Our photography leaders are with you throughout the entire trip, offering hands-on guidance both in the field and during post-processing sessions. How much instruction you’d like is entirely up to you, but our guides are always happy to assist with camera settings, composition, lighting, and creative ideas. The guidance is personalized, and many tours also include image reviews or editing sessions during downtime.
We’re not big fans of having everyone lined up in one spot with tripods, as you might see elsewhere. Instead, we encourage you to explore different angles and create your own unique compositions. Participants are usually spread out across the location, with guides moving between them to offer individual support.
Of course, non-photographer companions are welcome to join. While the main focus of the itinerary is photography, they can still fully enjoy the destinations, landscapes, and wildlife. Just keep in mind that early mornings, late evenings, and some patient waiting for the perfect shot are all part of the tour.
Each day is planned around the best light for photography. We often start early with sunrise shoots, take a break around midday to rest or travel between locations, and head out again for afternoon and sunset sessions. In some places, we also include evening or night shoots focused on stars or Northern Lights.
Each trip is a little different, but most of them include accommodation, meals, transportation, entrance fees to national parks and photo locations, and all photography instruction. We take care of all the logistics so you can fully focus on your photography. For specific details, please check the individual trip page for the tour you’re interested in booking.
What sets us apart from other photo tour operators is our genuine focus on helping you grow and develop as a photographer. Our tours combine expert guidance with thoughtfully designed itineraries in world-class locations. With small groups, highly personalized coaching, and strong local knowledge, you’ll not only capture great images but also enjoy a rewarding and fun travel experience. We believe our consistent 5-star reviews from clients over more than 10 years of running photo workshops speak for themselves.
Payment & Booking
The easiest way to secure your spot on a trip is to fill out our online reservation form, available on each trip page. After registering, you’ll be asked to pay a deposit to confirm your booking. If you have any questions about the tour details, feel free to email us at info@inscapephototours.com or call us at +420 775 063 638. You can also get in touch with us via WhatsApp or directly through our website.
Many of our trips sell out well in advance, often up to 8 months ahead, sometimes even before registration officially opens on our website. You can sign up for our email newsletter to be notified as soon as new trip dates are released.
Yes, a deposit is required after booking to secure your place. The final payment is typically due around 90 days before departure, in line with when we need to settle payments with our vendors on your behalf.
We accept wire transfers, major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal. In some cases, we can also arrange payment plans, so feel free to reach out if you need a bit more flexibility.
Cancellation terms vary depending on how far in advance you cancel. The following cancellation fees apply:
- More than 120 days before tour commencement: $500 USD service charge
- 120–91 days before tour commencement: workshop deposit fee
- 90–61 days before tour commencement: 50% of the workshop fee
- 60 days or less before tour commencement: 100% of the workshop fee
If we need to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances, any payments you have made will be transferred to another photo tour or refunded to you at your discretion.
Yes, we’re happy to arrange private or custom itineraries for individuals, couples, or small groups. Whether you have specific dates, destinations, or photography interests in mind, we can create a trip tailored to your needs.
Accommodation & Travel
As a general rule, we choose comfortable upper mid-range hotels, guesthouses, and lodges with en-suite bathrooms whenever possible. A key priority for us is a great location close to our photography subjects, helping us avoid long travel distances. Rooms are clean, safe, and equipped with everything you need to rest and recharge between photography sessions.
A limited number of single rooms are available on each tour for an additional cost and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Photo tour prices are based on two people sharing a room. Clients requesting double occupancy are expected to have a designated roommate. If a client does not have a roommate, we may attempt to pair them with another participant of the same gender, subject to availability. If no suitable roommate can be assigned, the client will be required to accept single occupancy and pay the corresponding supplement.
This varies depending on the specific tour. In most cases, breakfast is included, and on some tours we provide all meals. You’ll always find the exact details clearly outlined in the tour description. When lunch and dinner are not included, we carefully select restaurants with a wide range of options so everyone can find something they enjoy.
We make every effort to accommodate dietary restrictions if we are informed in advance.
International flights to and from the tour starting point are not included, so you’ll need to arrange your own travel to the meeting location.
Once the tour begins, though, you can relax. All transportation within the country is taken care of, so you can focus fully on enjoying the experience.
Yes, some participants choose to add extra days to explore the destination independently. We can advise you on recommended extensions or connect you with local services.
Photography & Equipment
We provide a detailed, destination-specific packing list for every tour. As a baseline, we recommend bringing a mirrorless camera or DSLR along with a sturdy tripod. Lens choices depend on the focus of the trip: wide-angle lenses are ideal for landscapes, while wildlife photography typically requires longer focal lengths. You’ll receive clear guidance well in advance on the most suitable gear for your destination.
Participants are expected to bring their own camera gear, as we do not provide loaner equipment. If you’d prefer to rent a camera or lenses, we recommend looking into rental options available in your local area.
Yes, all accommodations will have power outlets available for charging your cameras, laptops, and other electronics. You’ll also find information about the outlet types used at the destination in the photo tour description.
It depends on the destination. While some locations are great for drones and we encourage participants to bring them, others may be highly restricted (such as national parks or cities). Regulations vary, and participants are responsible for complying with local drone laws. Please let us know if you plan to bring a drone so we can advise accordingly.
Yes, our tours include informal editing sessions, image reviews, or group photo showcases during downtime. We generally prefer one-on-one sessions, as they often lead to better results when learning new workflows. All of these sessions are completely optional.
Trip Preparation
Well before the tour starts, you will receive details about when and where you will meet your guide and group on day one. This meeting usually takes place in the hotel lobby, or at the airport if your arrival time is aligned with the tour start. At the end of the tour, you are typically dropped off at the airport or at your hotel if you choose to stay overnight after the tour.
Since guests arrive from different locations, on different flights and at varying times, we usually meet for the first time at the hotel where the tour begins. Airport transfers are typically not included unless arranged otherwise. At the end of the trip, we can, in most cases, take you directly to the airport.
We always provide a detailed packing list tailored to your destination. In addition to camera gear, it also includes guidance on clothing and other essentials you’ll need for the workshop.
Yes, we strongly recommend that all participants have travel insurance. A good policy should cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and lost or damaged equipment.
Your safety is our top priority. We run tours only in locations we know well and where we have strong local support. Our guides are experienced in handling a wide range of situations and always put safety first.
Weather conditions can vary greatly depending on the destination and season. You’ll receive a detailed overview of what to expect, along with a packing list to help you prepare. Staying flexible is important, as changing weather often leads to great photo opportunities.
Our trip pricing does not include gratuities for trip leaders or guides. Tipping is customary, but not required. If you feel your guides provided great service, a gratuity is a thoughtful way to thank them. The amount is at your discretion.
